3. Formation of Board

(1) A Public Institutions Direction Board will be constituted to determine, restructure, monitor and evaluate the policies of public institutions.

(2) The Board will have the following chairman and members: /p>

(a) A person appointed by the Government of Nepal from among the persons qualified to be appointed as a member of the Public Service Commission - Chairman
(b) Secretary of the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers (seeing the relevant area), - Member
(c) Secretary to the Ministry of Finance, -Member
(d) Three persons appointed by the Government of Nepal from among the persons who have worked in the relevant field for at least ten years after obtaining a master's degree in a technical subject such as economics or management or law or science or agriculture or engineering. (e) Members appointed by the Government of Nepal from among the persons who have obtained the title of Chartered Accountancy and have worked in the relevant field for at least ten years. br> (4) The term of office of the chairman and members as per clauses (d) and (e) of sub-section (2) shall be four years and they may be re-appointed once.
(5) If the position of the chairman or any member becomes vacant while the term is remaining, the vacant position shall be filled by the same process as the one appointed by this order for the remaining period.
